Inconsiderate People Suck!

These upstairs neighbors are getting to be too much, and I don’t know what to do anymore. I emailed the owner and asked if he could please talk to them about the excessive noise. This has been a week full of people who just don’t give a damn about anything.

Cowardly and Nasty Neighbors are the WORST

I come home after an amazing Thai dinner to see a note attached on my door. It says:

I AM NOT HAPPY

It goes on to describe that my babysitter last night parked on the wrong spot, so she parked in the decal parking, had a sticker, and still got towed. Trying to be a nice neighbor, I go upstairs and knock on the woman’s door. I knock three times, but she ignores me. I am livid. The Overanalyzer in me comes out.

  1. If she knew that the guest was mine, why didn’t she knock on my door that night and tell my sitter to move the car?
  2. If she knew that the guest was mine, why didn’t she park on my spot?
  3. If she had a decal sticker on her car and still got towed, how is that my problem?

I wrote her a note apologizing for the mixup and that it would never happen again. I also advised her to have management compensate her for what she paid because if she had a sticker, she shouldn’t have to foot the bill.

Honestly, I will NEVER, NEVER buy a condo again. You have to deal with all these different personalities and their stupidities. Since I’ve moved here, I’ve had a screaming match with the lady who use to live above, had to send over four emails to the lady who lives there now for letting her kids run around, and now this lady, who could have just knocked on my door and told my sitter to move the car, leaves a nasty note and then is too scared to answer the door when I knock.

I am in such a livid mood right now that it’s time to take a nice, hot shower to loosen me up because I am ready to curse out the next person who looks at me wrong.

We have become this society where everyone is afraid to face one another and say, “Hey, I have an issue with this.” Why do you have the balls to write me a note and paste it on my door, but you can’t answer the door to deal with this issue head on. If she would have answered the door, I would have paid for half the towing expenses. Now? She is SOL.

Is This Letter to My Upstairs Neighbors Too Bitchy?

I understand that living in a condo you are bound to deal with some noise from the upstairs neighbors.  For two months, I’ve had to deal with these contractors renovating the upstairs condo, after that witch of a lady left.  I feel like I should have gotten a townhouse farther out, so I wouldn’t have to deal with this.  My mother is coming to stay with the kids for four days when I go to LA, and I know she is not going to be so nice.  I hope this letter will remedy this before she comes.

I am going to put this in the bulletin board.  Is it too bitchy?

I think we need to remember that we live in a place where we live in close proximity with other people.  Maybe the floors aren’t insulated properly or people just have heavy feet, but I am getting to the point that I am regretting that I bought this condo.  The noise is unbearable.  I hear people running and stomping above me, and I don’t know if this will ever stop.

I understand that in a condo environment, you are going to hear noise upstairs.  However, there is a difference between the usual noise and the excessive amounts of noise that are plaguing me now.

Please be considerate of others.  The condo association doesn’t seem like they can do anything, so I have to resort to this or calling the police.  I really don’t want to waste the police’s time.  My patience is low because I already had to deal with almost two months of contractors making crazy amounts of noise, and they are now gone and still no relief.

You can sense when you or others are stomping, running, or pounding, so here a few tips to quiet down the movements you make:

1. Don’t wear shoes

2. If you or someone else is running or stomping, STOP!

3. Consider getting a sound specialist who can give you tips on how to make your place more sound proof

I’m not trying to be malicious, but when my kids are telling me that they are scared, wake up at night, or I can barely relax or write cause I hear ridiculous amounts of noise upstairs for the past two months, it’s time for this letter.

Update: I toned down the letter and posted it on the bulletin board. I think the problem is the shoddy job those people who laid down the carpet did. I need to relax and destress. So so glad I am heading to LA!!!!!
