Why Do Men Love B*tches? Women Love A*sholes?

Attraction Principle # 29, originally uploaded by agent lover.

I don’t understand why we tend to always want the people who don’t treat us the way we should be treated.  My theory is that everyone wants a challenge.  They want to be the one who eventually “changes” the person.  I don’t know what it is, but I think it’s something that we need to stop.  There are plenty of nice people out there, but we never give them a chance.  Instead, we waste our time on people who will never do anything for us but give us a broken heart.

Healing My Broken Heart Through Music, Poetry, and Movies

Awhile ago, I posted the top ten songs, poems, and movies to hear and see when you are suffering from a broken heart.  I’m starting to feel better about a lot of things.  Accept everything that happened and realize that there are things that I am unable to control.  All I can do is be strong, and continue trekking on.  Life is too short to be so miserable.  If I died tomorrow, would I really want my last days on Earth to be moping around aching for someone who never really cared much about me to begin with?  No.

I created this Rhapsody playlist when I was enduring all that pain. Art in all forms can help you get through many hard parts in your life. They make you realize that there is someone out there who has gone through what you are going through, so you are not alone.  Also, that you will be alright.

Here is the playlist that I created, which you are able to listen to by pressing the Play icon. I hope that it can probably help someone out there.

Someone Please Invent a Machine to Erase All Of My Memories

Will a machine ever be invented that will erase memories that people want to get rid of? Or is it something that will stay in the minds of the creators of “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind?” I remember watching this movie and thinking that one should never want to erase any part of his/her life. Now I want someone to build that machine, so I can use it on myself.

I’m a person who usually will get back up in an hour and be able to go. I can’t with this. Hope is something that one should never lose, and I have lost it, utterly and completely. It doesn’t matter now. Life goes on, and I just have to accept the way things are. My head hurts, and I feel like I can barely walk without wincing in pain. I can’t eat, smile, or laugh. I don’t think I ever will.

I know that I am getting punished for something. Maybe something I have done in this life or a past life, but I am. I wish I knew what so I could bear this better. All I want is to erase all my memories since 2006. Anything that reminds me: songs, photos, movies, etc. All I know is that all I have left to live for are my children. Nothing more.

If anyone ever builds that machine, I will pay whatever amount to use it.  For now,  I want to disappear.

Five Ways You Know You are Over Someone

No Broken Hearts

Originally uploaded by Mykl Roventine

One of my favorite books, “The Long Walk Home,” discussed the broken heart of the main character. She is grief stricken to the point where she can’t eat, sleep, or speak. Her aunt tells her that one day she will break up and be ok. The day finally comes, and she IS ok. Here are the five ways you know when you are over an ex.

1. You barely think about him/her - I use to wonder about this person all the time, but now I don’t care. The only time that I do is when I see something that does remind me of that person. The constant thoughts diminished, and you see yourself thinking about more important things.

2. You are totally cool about him/her dating someone else - At first, you feel this gut-wrenching jealousy that he/she is with someone else. Let me tell you that the feeling goes away. You actually start feeling sorry for this new person because she doesn’t realize what she is getting herself into.

3. You see a picture of him/her in the arms of the other person and you all think is “Meh” – Nothing bothers you anymore. You actually don’t even think about it and just go on about your business.

4. Not attracted to him/her – You look at your ex’s picture, and you do not even find him/her attractive anymore. You can see why you did, but that person is not for you anymore. It makes you wonder if he/she ever was.

5. Wonder what you were thinking - Sanity comes in to play when you laugh about how dumb you were to be broken hearted over such a person. “What was I thinking?” is all you can think about when you do think about this person. This is the final step.

One thing I have to say is that a broken heart heals, and you only need yourself to make sure that happens.

My Heart is Broken, so Sue Me

Can a broken heart be mended?  Is love never having to say you’re sorry?  Do you forgive those you truly love?  Can anything separate two lovers?

You once said I was too idealistic and that this would be my downfall if I don’t start accepting reality.  It’s sad that you are the reason I no longer have this innocent idealistic point of view.  I know that you read my blog.  This is for you:

Let me not to the marriage of true minds

Admit impediments; love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O, no, it is an ever-fixèd mark,
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wand’ring bark,
Whose worth’s unknown, although his heighth be taken.
Love’s not Time’s fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle’s compass come;
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved.

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
