For people who have been reading my blog for awhile know, I will be doing the American Diabetes Association Reston Tour de Cure 2009 Century Ride on June 14th. When my friend left the company, he contacted me and asked if my other friend and I wanted to join his new team. I asked him what our team was called.
“Team Awesome-O!”
Awesome is one of my favorite words, so I was all for it.
For people living in the DC area, we are having a fundraiser event. Here is the information:
“Spin for the Cure” goes down on May 29th, 2009, at Clare and Don’s Beach Shack. Local favorites, DJ Vinny Vicious and DJ Slipmatt, will be spinning the night away while raffle tickets will be sold all night long. The raffle will include gift certificates and cool prizes from local merchants. The Beach Shack is a laid back bar in Falls Church with cheap beers, and the best local DJ’s spinning some tasty jams this will be a great night.
