Giving a Cat a Bath is Rough!

Man, I thought that giving a dog a bath was rough. A cat is 100 times worse! This is compared to a huge German Shepherd. I shampooed him twice with this yummy lavender shampoo that I bought at PetSmart. It was a challenge but with two kids, I was able to do it.
I was impressed. I stayed super late at work, and I was worried the house was going to be destroyed. Everything was perfect, and he was totally lounging on the carpet. He uses his litter box and doesn’t even attempt to poop or pee on the carpet. Anyone who knows me knows that I HATE bodily waste. Ick!
The kids and I are now watching “A Charlie Brown Christmas!” while Haji dries himself. I still feel crappy. My back and hips hurt, and my stomach feels queasy. I don’t think I am going to work tomorrow because I was suffering today. I hope to feel better tomorrow.

I am extremely terrified to bathe my cat now that I saw how crazy he got! At least now he smells like lavender. =)
I had to give a cat a bath once, right after it fell into a tub or motor oil… It was one of the worst experiences of my life. I still have nightmares……
Bathing a cat after he/she falls in motor oil?! I know your bathroom was a mess. You are going to have to share that story. How did it happen?

Noni, you just made my day, and probably even my weekend. Thank you so much for the great compliment. My cat is actually the most relaxed cat Ive ever seen. The only thing is that he has FIV and was vomiting. However, I changed his food to Iams and don't let him outdoors, so he doesn't vomit much anymore. =) Thanks again!

I am too scared of cats, Must say that nyou are kind of daring. And trust me its equally tiresome to bath a dog.

I personally tried this before. It was a pain giving my beloved cat a bath. I had to defensive from time to time to avoid being scratched all over. I can't say its the best experience I've ever had but it certainly is memorable.
Bathing my cat has gotten better. Maybe cause I have become better at it. =D
